REACH has decades of experience writing grant applications issued by governments, institutions, and private foundations. REACH works in close partnership with program administrators and community entities in securing funds that have the potential to enhance the quality of life for individuals, families and their communities.
REACH staff has over 50 years of combined experience in grant writing and administration.  We have served as lead and contributory writers for grant applications issued by state and federal governments and private foundations.  Our preference is to work in partnership with program administrators or community entities in securing funds that will enhance the quality of life for individuals, families and their communities.
We have the greatest experience in writing and administering grants that fund a program initiative, and we have particular expertise in the implementation and evaluation of systems of care.  However, the breath of skill and experience among our staff also enable us to prepare proposals that meet the scientific rigor of research grants.  Particular areas of interest are health and human services, education, community planning, and violence and crime prevention.
We work within a participatory framework to identify the problem to be addressed and to formulate a strategy that is responsive to the terms and expectations of the funders and to the needs and culture of the target community/population.  Because of the diversity of our staff, we bring to the process the practical knowledge of having run direct service programs, the professional background associated with group facilitation and interviewing, the experience of conducting needs assessments and turning data into information, and the advanced knowledge of sophisticated statistical analyses.
As the partnership between REACH and a prospective client is initiated, we negotiate our role, which can include part or all of the following: gathering and analyzing data, soliciting the input of key stakeholders, researching potential strategies, developing the strategic plan and the goals that are to be achieved, formulating the evaluation, and writing the technical proposal.   Because of our strong interest in the role of program evaluation in informing policy and transforming services, we typically engage in grant writing with individuals and entities that want us to serve in the role of evaluator once the grant is funded.
