Resources for Education, Adaptation, Change, and Health, Incorporated (d/b/a REACH of Louisville, Inc.) is a closely held, for-profit, Subchapter S Kentucky corporation. The organization was founded in 1987 by Dr. Robert Illback, a licensed psychologist with training in individual and family behavior therapy, school-community psychology, developmental disabilities, program evaluation, and consultation processes. The organization has evolved from a home-visiting psychology practice to a comprehensive support system for families (including foster families) with difficult-to-serve individuals. Direct services provided include therapeutic foster care for youth and adults, respite, crisis prevention and intervention, school consultation, adult day program, recreational programming, and interagency collaboration and planning. On a systems-level, R.E.A.C.H. of Louisville consults with other organizations and agencies around planning and evaluation issues, and provides training, statistical and graphical analysis, and program evaluation services.
The most valuable resources within R.E.A.C.H. are the dedicated and capable families who open up their homes to troubled individuals in need. Beginning with a small group of core families, R.E.A.C.H. has established a large network of trained and supported families who consider helping difficult-to-serve individuals to be their mission
