Mark Scureman is a retired US Army colonel, Vietnam combat veteran, and parent of an adult with developmental disabilities. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point (where he earned All-America honors in wrestling), and completed an Army career with postings in Europe and the United States. For a time, he worked with Brig. Gen. Colin Powell, and his final tour was as Garrison Commander of Fort Ritchie in Maryland.

Mark has graduate degrees in business and special education and his professional interests include therapeutic foster care, family support, training and development, and systems change. He conducts training locally and around the United States on topics such as quality, self-directed work teams, communication, and leadership.
