Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Statement
At REACH of Louisville Inc., we are acutely aware that the people we serve (individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities) are at risk of marginalization. Our goal is to ensure that service recipients become more fully integrated as contributing citizens within the community. We are committed to modeling and creating environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, not just for service recipients but for our employees, providers, and their families. In furtherance of these purposes, we seek to nurture self-determination and self-advocacy, dismantle systemic barriers to full access, and be guided by anti-racist, anti-sexist, and anti-ableist perspectives. Our guiding work ethos centers on person- and family-centered collaborative support that permits each individual's unique voice and experience to be shared and honored and allows differing viewpoints to be safely explored and critically examined.
